Dungeon Picnic Set Equipment Screen
Two equipment rows, Artifact slot, AutoEquip, and First Star Fragment.
Dungeon Picnic puts weapons, armor, and relics on one screen titled SET EQUIPMENT. You are not opening four separate inventories. You are dressing one picnic of four under a shared Mana (MN) pool, then living with whatever AutoEquip just flattened or whatever a wipe is about to delete. This page is the gear briefing for the limited-time demo that started on 6 September 2026: first area, four playable characters, and no save transfer into the product version, which remains to be announced. Play is single-player. Lapismine publishes the game on Steam as app 3736800.
If you still mash Triangle by accident, read the controls guide first. Combat timing after a piece is on lives in the ReAct combat guide. How gear sits inside a four-slot budget is party building. Early opinions on who should wear a first-action relic live on the character ranking. The photographed example on this page is the Samurai equipment screen.
What SET EQUIPMENT actually prints
The captured layout is strict. Two Equipment rows sit above an Artifact slot. Face-button copy on that screen includes Select Slot, Back, Toggle Details, Auto Equip, and Unequip All. L1 and R1 switch characters along the party strip at the bottom. You inspect one heroine at a time; you do not drag a shared closet onto everyone at once.
On the Samurai capture, both Equipment rows are empty. That is evidence, not a bug report this wiki will invent a weapon list to fill. The Artifact row holds First Star Fragment. Empty rows mean you should read the Artifact line and the stat block, then leave. Filling them with guessed katanas is fan fiction.
StarShard and Aether do not pay this screen. StarShard is the HUD pile for Level Up. Aether is the other purse on the event HUD. Equipment is found, AutoEquipped, or stripped. Do not open SET EQUIPMENT expecting to buy Starting Mana. That Cost 3 row lives on Level Up Using Star Shards.
The command menu still lists Level Up, Equipment, Set Skill, Item, Status, Formation, and System as separate verbs. Set Skill is where ready-versus-cooldown lives. Status is where you confirm HP, ATK, DEF, Healing POW or HEAL, SPD, Hit, Crit, and Crit DMG after a piece changes a number. Formation is still turn-order politics. Equipment is only the slots.
First Star Fragment and the Samurai stat card
First Star Fragment is tagged Legendary. The printed effects are SPD +25% and When battle begins, the wearer can act first. That clause is an opening seat, not a ReAct extra turn. ReAct is what you get when you Break a weakness. Acting first is how you try to tag that weakness before the shared MN tank is sipped. Enemies can still ReAct later.
The same screenshot titles the selected combatant SAMURAI and prints:
- HP 22
- ATK 13
- DEF 0
- Healing POW 6
- SPD 135
- Hit Rate 100%
- Critical Rate 5%
- Critical DMG 50%
SPD 135 plus a 25% speed artifact is a turn-order statement even before the unique line. DEF 0 matches other roster cards. Crit 5% and Crit DMG 50% match the base rates shown elsewhere; Break-driven crit is still a combat plan, not a hidden multiplier on the fragment. Hit 100% means the relic is not a hit-rate patch.
Samurai is roster knowledge, not a fifth demo slot. The playable limited-demo party is Astrologia, Apothecary, Kannagi, and Aries Knight. Use the Samurai card to learn how to read SET EQUIPMENT, not to assume the sailor-uniform katana joins the first-area picnic. Harvester is the other later name; her published kit spends ally HP and uses Mercy Scythe. Do not paste First Star Fragment onto her page as a demo unlock.
This wiki will not invent skill names for Samurai, Kannagi, or Aries Knight to make the Artifact slot look busier. If a later screenshot prints a skill row next to the fragment, cite that row. Until then, the relic’s job is first action and speed.
AutoEquip, Unequip All, and L1 / R1
AutoEquip is Triangle. It is a gift on a first demo run and a trap on a later one. Triangle can put something wearable on the four demo heroines so you can fight. Triangle can also overwrite a speed plan, ignore the Artifact lesson, or dress the wrong body because you parked your thumb there during a wipe-recovery mash. Tap it only when you intend to reset gear.
Unequip All lives on OPTIONS, which also opens Status Effects and Menu. OPTIONS is a pause, not a panic strip in the middle of EVENT ENEMY ?????. Unequip All is the clean opposite of Triangle: it returns the picnic to empty rows so you can rebuild by hand with Select Slot.
L1 / R1 switch characters. Walk the four demo names and compare the two Equipment rows plus the Artifact slot on each. If AutoEquip put First Star Fragment, or any first-action piece you actually hold, on a heroine who should not open, move it. The wearer who should act first is the one who can inflict Break before Apothecary spends 2 MN on Counter Heal or Astrologia spends 2 MN on Unlimited Meteor.
Toggle Details before you trust a chip. SPD +25% is easy to skim. The sentence about acting first is the clause that changes combat. Select Slot is how you plant a piece; Back is how you leave without confirming a swap you did not mean.
Keyboard-only play can still run this screen. Mouse wheel helps lists. Partial controller support means some pads miss a bumper; if L1 / R1 do not switch, fall back to keyboard rather than assuming a hidden bind. Prompt maps are in controls.
Wipes delete the kit, including the fragment
A wipe loses skills and equipment. The next run randomizes finds. First Star Fragment is not an account unlock. A legendary on one picnic is flavor for the next picnic until the route pays it again. Do not hoard an empty Equipment row in the hope the product version will remember it. Demo saves do not transfer.
That rule is why AutoEquip is a tempo tool, not a collection manager. Dress for the next node, not for a museum. Item is the consumable row; do not confuse a heal item with an Artifact. Level Up Using Star Shards is where Cost 1 heroines and Cost 3 Starting Mana live; gear does not replace a starved MN tank.
Shared MN still gates every skill you cannot see on SET EQUIPMENT. A first-acting wearer who then dumps 2 MN on a card nobody needed taxes the whole picnic. Put the fragment, if you hold it, on the Break opener, then keep 2 MN in reserve for Counter Heal or Heal All. Unlimited Meteor still sets all skills on cooldown; speed does not make that card a default opener.
Kannagi’s purification wooden sword and Aries Knight’s maid-knight look are identities, not extra Artifact slots. Astrologia cares about Ready skill counts for Unlimited Meteor; a first-acting ally who steals the weakness probe can starve the Ready pile. Coordinate, or you have a fast body who spent the tank.
A dress script for the first area
After the first fight, open SET EQUIPMENT once. L1 / R1 through the demo four. If both Equipment rows are empty, believe them. If an Artifact is present, Toggle Details and read the full sentence. Park a first-action relic on the Break opener. Leave Triangle alone unless the board is junk. If OPTIONS Unequip All is how you recover from a mash, rebuild by hand before the next Battle + Rewards tag.
Steam Next Fest from 19 October 2026 is a second look at the first-area slice, not a gear-migration date. Wishlist and storefront context sit on the Steam store page. Demo policy sits in the demo guide. The guides hub routes the rest.
Empty equipment rows are not a failed screenshot. They are the honest state of a kit the demo has not filled. Park First Star Fragment, if you ever hold it, on the heroine who should Break before the shared MN tank is sipped. Leave Triangle AutoEquip for a first-pass dress, then rebuild by hand with L1 and R1. OPTIONS Unequip All is the reset when that dress was a lie. Gear dies on a wipe; the only thing that carries forward is the habit of reading the Artifact line before the next picnic starts.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for demo runs, ReAct combat, and party building.
What slots does SET EQUIPMENT show?
Two Equipment rows plus an Artifact slot. The Samurai capture leaves both gear rows empty and puts First Star Fragment in Artifact. Walk the party with L1 / R1. Layout notes are also on the Samurai page.
What does First Star Fragment do?
Legendary artifact: SPD +25%, and when battle begins the wearer can act first. That is an opening seat, not a ReAct extra turn. ReAct still requires a Break. Timing is in the combat guide.
What stats are printed on the Samurai equipment screenshot?
HP 22, ATK 13, DEF 0, Healing POW 6, SPD 135, Hit Rate 100%, Critical Rate 5%, Critical DMG 50%. Samurai is roster knowledge, not a demo-four slot. Compare roles on the character ranking.
How do AutoEquip and Unequip All work?
Triangle is AutoEquip. OPTIONS can Unequip All, show Status Effects, or open Menu. AutoEquip is fine on a first kit and dangerous once you have a speed plan. Prompt names are in the controls guide.
Do I keep equipment after a wipe?
No. A wipe deletes skills and equipment, and the next run randomizes finds. Demo saves do not transfer to the product version. Plan the next dress in party building.
