Development Timeline

Dungeon Picnic is a solo project by Lapismine. Public progress lives on Ci-en (long posts) and X (kit clips), with the Steam page for app 3736800 as the store of record. This timeline lists public stamps only. None of these dates is a full release. Steam still labels the product to be announced.

Use this page to see how ReAct, shared Mana, and the demo four were shown over time. Use the demo launch recap for 6 September 2026 rules. Use the Steam Next Fest page for the 19 October 2026 exhibit. Play advice sits on the demo guide and the combat guide.

AI disclosure

Steam’s store page includes an AI generated content disclosure. Lapismine’s wording: some characters were designed by AI and created by the developer. That is a store fact. It does not change combat math, and it does not mean every heroine is AI-made. This wiki will not expand the sentence into a hidden credits list.

2024 — systems first

March 2024’s character-creation post is why this wiki talks about a party of four pixel-art heroines instead of a silent protagonist. April 2024’s random enchantments post is why equipment is a run roll, not a wiki-wide static shop. June 2024 is the ReAct month: Break a weakness, take an extra turn. Enemies later shown to ReAct as well, which is why defense still matters in a game that sells extra turns.

October 2024 through February 2025 is UI: battle layout, exploration without a traditional map, event nodes instead of hallways. If you walk into the 2026 demo expecting a drawn dungeon floor, you missed those posts. Mapless events are a design choice that has been public for a long time, not a demo limitation that will definitely vanish.

2025 — the store page

11 June 2025 put Dungeon Picnic on Steam with a first trailer. Store copy still matches the systems the blog had already described: shared Mana instead of per-character MP, cooldowns, Break extra turns, cheaper skills and better recovery after Break, crits on broken targets, party building rather than a card deck, roguelike reset of skills and gear on defeat. Languages listed: English, Japanese, Simplified Chinese. Play mode: single-player. Minimums: Windows 11, Intel Core i3, 8 GB RAM, OpenGL with 1 GB VRAM, 1 GB storage.

That page is also where the AI disclosure lives. Wishlisting from that page is still the correct notify tool; see the wishlist tracker and the links hub.

2026 — kits, animation, demo, fest

February 2026 posted Astrologia’s passive: cooldown drops on Break. That single line is why the early character ranking treats her as an S-tier enabler in the demo four, and why the skill ranking puts cooldown manipulation above raw damage. Published Astrologia names around that kit: Hellfire Comet, Blizzard Comet, Binary Star, Unlimited Meteor (2 MN, CD12, spends ready skills / sets all cooldowns), Lunar Eclipse, Stellar Exploit.

April 2026 introduced Harvester: HP drain, spend ally HP, Mercy Scythe as an execute. High ceiling, real risk, and not one of the four demo names. Keep her in the shown-later band until a download list says otherwise.

August 2026 showed a pixel level-up animation and random skill picks on level-up. That is why Star Shard spends can add buttons you did not plan. It is also why a tier list that assumes a fixed skill bar is speculation.

6 September 2026 opened the limited demo: first area, four characters (Astrologia, Apothecary, Kannagi, Aries Knight), no save transfer, streaming allowed, bugs on Steam discussion. Apothecary’s published kit by then included Counter Heal (2 MN, CD6, 50% Heal.ELM to all allies), Heal All, and Poison Injection. Kannagi remained a fox shrine maiden with a purification wooden sword. Aries Knight remained a maid knight without a fully public kit. Samurai had been shown with the First Star Fragment act-first artifact and a SPD 135 line — still not a demo-four starter.

19 October 2026 is the Next Fest exhibit of that same demo. It does not convert any earlier blog stamp into a launch day.

How to use this timeline

  • If a date is in the table, it is a development or demo stamp.
  • If a date is not in the table, this wiki does not have a public post to cite.
  • If you need combat, leave this page for the combat guide.
  • If you need the first-area rules, leave for the demo guide and the demo launch recap.
  • If you need names, leave for the roster.
  • If you need speculative order, leave for the tier list hub.

Ci-en and X will keep moving. This page should gain rows when new public posts exist. It should never gain a fake 1.0 day to make the table feel finished. Broader schedule context stays on the updates hub.

The AI disclosure on Steam and the 2024–2026 blog stamps are how a solo developer has chosen to work in public. They explain the demo you can play and the kits you can name. They do not, even when read in a straight line from March 2024 to Next Fest, turn Dungeon Picnic’s product version into anything other than TBA.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for demo runs, ReAct combat, and party building.

When does Dungeon Picnic fully release?

Steam still lists the full game as to be announced. No date on this timeline is a 1.0 ship day. Track store changes from the wishlist tracker and the links hub.

Where do these dates come from?

Public Ci-en articles and X posts from Lapismine, plus the Steam page that opened on 11 June 2025. The updates hub points at the same sources.

What is the AI disclosure?

Steam quotes the developer: some characters were designed by AI and created by the developer. This page does not expand that sentence into unofficial credits.

Is the 6 September 2026 demo the full game?

No. It is a limited first-area slice with four characters and no save transfer. Rules are on the demo launch recap and the demo guide.

Does Next Fest change this timeline?

Only by adding an exhibit stamp from 19 October 2026. It does not add a release date. See the Steam Next Fest page.

Why is Harvester on a 2026 row if she is not in the demo four?

April 2026 introduced her kit in public posts. The demo four are still Astrologia, Apothecary, Kannagi, and Aries Knight. Ranking context is on the character ranking.
