Dungeon Picnic Steam Next Fest Notes
Demo exhibit from 19 October 2026. Wishlist the TBA game. No invented booth details.
Lapismine said the Dungeon Picnic limited demo will be exhibited at Steam Next Fest from 19 October 2026. That sentence is the entire official fest fact this wiki will treat as solid. The full game is still to be announced. This page exists so a fest calendar square is not rewritten into a launch day, a booth map, or a secret second demo.
If you have not downloaded yet, the same first-area slice already started on 6 September 2026. Fest week is a discovery window for people who missed that post, not a promise of new maps. Read the demo launch recap and the limited demo notes for what the slice actually contains.
What has been posted
- Steam Next Fest from 19 October 2026.
- The current limited demo will be exhibited.
- The demo is the first area with four characters.
- Demo saves do not transfer into the product version.
- The product version remains TBA on Steam app 3736800.
That is the list. This page will not add a closing date, a live-play slot, a festival tag layout, or a claim that Harvester unlocks for the fest. If Lapismine later posts those details, they belong in a dated update, not in a guess written today.
What a Next Fest exhibit is for
Steam Next Fest is a storefront event where unreleased games put demos in front of people who are already browsing. For a solo indie RPG, the useful actions are small:
- Wishlist the TBA product so a store change can notify you. Use the wishlist tracker if you want the steps in one place.
- Play the first area if you have not. Four heroines, shared Mana, ReAct Breaks, cooldowns, mapless events.
- Report bugs on the Steam discussion board while extra strangers are clicking the same build.
- Do not treat a fest playtime spike as proof that 1.0 is imminent.
Combat practice still belongs on the ReAct combat guide. Character identities still belong on the roster. Early rankings still belong on the character ranking and skill ranking, stamped as speculation. Official URLs still belong on the links hub.
Wishlist advice (no invented rewards)
Wishlisting does not grant in-demo items. Dungeon Picnic has not posted a fest-only coupon, a unique artifact, or a pre-order bundle on the store page this wiki can cite. The honest advice is mechanical:
- Wishlist from the Steam page for app 3736800 so you are not relying on a social algorithm to see a TBA change.
- Follow Lapismine on the accounts listed under links if you want kit posts (Astrologia passive, Harvester intro) that never appear in Steam news.
- After you wishlist, play the demo you already have. Star Shards and Aether spends in this build will not move into 1.0.
If a future news post adds a real fest reward, cite it. Until then, anyone promising a Next Fest exclusive scythe is inventing store copy.
How to spend fest week in the first area
Use the extra eyes as a test lab, not as a speedrun stage:
- Put Astrologia on Break duty. Hellfire Comet and Blizzard Comet exist to threaten weaknesses. Unlimited Meteor (2 MN, CD12, spends ready skills) stays a payoff.
- Keep Apothecary on shared MN: Counter Heal at 2 MN CD6 (50% Heal.ELM to all allies), Heal All when you are actually behind, Poison Injection as chip.
- Play Kannagi as a fox shrine maiden with a purification wooden sword. Do not invent skills because a fest stream chat asked for a nuke name.
- Play Aries Knight as a maid knight with an incomplete public kit. Incomplete is not S-tier.
- Leave Harvester and Samurai in the shown-later column unless the download list changes.
Streaming remains allowed under the 6 September 2026 guideline, including monetization, with a courtesy store link. Fest week will produce more VODs; that still does not transfer saves.
What this page will not claim
No booth floor plan. No claim that Next Fest replaces the September demo. No claim that the fest is a full release. No end date invented from other games’ fest weeks. No second trailer invented for the exhibit. The 11 June 2025 first trailer and the 6 September 2026 demo trailer already exist on YouTube; this page does not embed them.
Windows 11, 8 GB RAM, Intel Core i3, OpenGL with 1 GB VRAM, and 1 GB storage remain the store minimums. Languages remain English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese. Play mode remains single-player. Those rows do not change because a festival banner appears.
Development context — 2024 character-creation and ReAct posts, 2025 Steam page, 2026 kit and animation posts — stays on the development timeline. Broader schedule notes stay on the updates hub. If you only came here from a calendar app, read those two pages before you assume a ship window.
Wishlist first, then play the first-area demo you already understand, then file bugs while strangers are on the same build. Steam Next Fest from 19 October 2026 is an exhibit of that slice, not a new campaign, not a booth you need a map for, and not a substitute for the TBA product version still sitting on the store page.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for demo runs, ReAct combat, and party building.
When does Dungeon Picnic appear at Steam Next Fest?
From 19 October 2026, as an exhibit of the limited demo. The full game is still to be announced. See the updates hub for the rest of the public schedule.
Will the fest demo include new areas?
Lapismine said the current demo will be exhibited. This page will not invent extra areas or booth content. First-area rules are on the demo launch recap and the demo guide.
Should I wait for Next Fest instead of playing now?
No. The limited demo already started on 6 September 2026. Fest week is extra discovery, not a better build that has been announced. Learn ReAct on the combat guide.
Does wishlisting give demo rewards?
No public fest reward has been posted. Wishlist so Steam can notify you about the TBA product. Steps are on the wishlist tracker.
Can I stream during Next Fest?
The 6 September 2026 guideline already allowed streams and monetization, with a courtesy store link. That permission is about the demo, not about a new fest-only NDA.
Where are official store and social links?
On the links hub. Kit rankings, still speculative, sit on the tier list hub.
