Dungeon Picnic Early Skills Ranking
Break and cooldown tools first. Unlimited Meteor is a payoff. Lists are speculative.
This page ranks published Dungeon Picnic skills as early, demo-based speculation. It is not a final tool list for the product version. The full game is still to be announced. The limited-time demo that started on 6 September 2026 is a first-area slice with four characters. Random skill picks, Star Shard level-ups, and later kits will move every row here.
Only named skills appear below. Kannagi’s purification wooden sword and Aries Knight’s maid-knight identity are not an excuse to invent buttons. If a guide lists a Kannagi nuke that Lapismine has not shown, it is fan fiction. Cross-check names against the early character ranking, the tier list hub, and the character roster.
Ranking philosophy
Dungeon Picnic shares one Mana (MN) pool. Skills have cooldowns. Breaking a weakness triggers ReAct: extra turn, cheaper skills, better recovery. Enemies ReAct. Crits rise on broken targets. Therefore:
- Break tools and cooldown manipulators outrank raw damage.
- Unlimited Meteor is a payoff, not an opener.
- Counter Heal is compared with Heal All as two different tempos, not as duplicates.
- Poison Injection is chip, not a boss delete.
- Mercy Scythe is an execute on a kit that may sit outside this demo.
Read the loop on the ReAct combat guide before you copy a damage screenshot. Mapless events and Aether spends change how often you can afford a CD12 dump; the demo guide covers what the first area actually asks you to bet.
Provisional skill bands
| Band | Skill | Owner | Published notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| S | Break-on-cooldown (Astrologia passive) | Astrologia | Cooldown drops on Break; the enabler for her whole kit |
| S | Hellfire Comet / Blizzard Comet | Astrologia | Published comet tools; use them to pressure weaknesses, not as vanity nukes |
| A | Binary Star | Astrologia | Published; part of the comet/star package that sets up the dump |
| A | Unlimited Meteor | Astrologia | 2 MN, CD12, spends ready skills / sets all cooldowns; payoff only |
| A | Counter Heal | Apothecary | 2 MN, CD6, all allies heal 50% Heal.ELM |
| B | Heal All | Apothecary | Dedicated group top-up when you are already behind |
| B | Poison Injection | Apothecary | Chip that asks the rest of the party to finish |
| A (conditional) | Lunar Eclipse / Stellar Exploit | Astrologia | Published names; rank them as kit pieces, not as invented effects |
| Execute (later) | Mercy Scythe | Harvester | Execute on an HP-spend kit that may be post-demo |
Break tools and the Astrologia passive
Astrologia’s cooldown-down-on-Break passive is the highest-value published effect in the demo four. It turns every successful Break into a refresh. Hellfire Comet and Blizzard Comet are the public comet pair; they exist to threaten elemental weaknesses so ReAct happens. This page does not invent hidden riders on those comets. If a comet is the button that actually Breaks in your fight, it was a Break tool. If it was pressed into a full bar with no weakness, it was raw damage and it deserved a worse grade in that fight.
Binary Star sits with the same package. Use it to keep the star/comet plan alive, not as a replacement for Unlimited Meteor. Lunar Eclipse and Stellar Exploit are published names in the same kit. They are ranked as kit pieces because Lapismine has shown the names; this wiki will not fabricate extra lines such as unnamed shields or unofficial MN refunds.
Unlimited Meteor is a dump, not a lead
Unlimited Meteor costs 2 MN, carries CD12, and spends all ready skills / sets all cooldowns. That is why it is a payoff. Opening a fight with it empties the kit you needed to create the Break. Closing a broken board with it is the point. After the dump, Astrologia needs the Break refund — or time — before she is a full kit again.
If you hold Meteor until ReAct is already rolling, 2 MN is cheap for a board wipe. If you press it on a full, unbroken enemy because the animation looks like a trailer, you have spent the party. Pair the dump with extra turns described in the combat guide. Do not treat CD12 as a suggestion.
Counter Heal versus Heal All
Apothecary publishes two group heals with different jobs.
Counter Heal is 2 MN, CD6, and heals all allies for 50% of Heal.ELM. That is a tempo heal. It is cheap enough to press while the shared pool still has Break plans left. CD6 is long enough that you cannot spam it as a panic button every action, and short enough that it comes back inside a first-area fight if you Break and recycle turns.
Heal All is the dedicated top-up. Rank it lower than Counter Heal as a default press because a full group heal usually means you already lost tempo. It is still the right button when the party is actually in the red. The ranking is when to press, not a claim that Heal All is useless.
Poison Injection as chip
Poison Injection is chip. It taxes a target so the rest of the four can finish. It is not ranked as a Break tool unless a future post says it Breaks. Shared MN makes chip valuable when a comet would overspend. It is a worse button than a real Break if the enemy is one ReAct away from killing you. Keep it in the B-band as a specialist press, not as a rotation staple that replaces comets.
Mercy Scythe and unpublished kits
Mercy Scythe is Harvester’s execute. Harvester also drains HP and can spend ally HP. That ceiling is real and that risk is real. The skill sits in an execute / later band because Harvester may be post-demo. Ranking an execute as a first-area opener would be a category error.
Kannagi and Aries Knight do not get invented skills on this page. A purification wooden sword implies a frontline, purifying identity. A maid knight implies a martial identity. Neither sentence is a cooldown, an MN cost, or a Break rider. When those kits are public, they get rows. Until then, their players should lean on Astrologia’s published Break plan and Apothecary’s published heals. See the character ranking for how that party split works.
Cooldown economy in a four-person party
Because MN is shared, a CD12 dump by one heroine taxes everyone. Star Shard level-ups can add random skill picks; a new button is not automatically better than a Break tool you already understand. Aether spends and mapless event bets decide whether you can afford to greed for extra skill rolls before a boss. The demo guide is the place for that routing. This page only ranks the buttons you already know.
Enemies ReAct. If your Break tools are on cooldown because you opened with Unlimited Meteor, the other side gets the extra turn you wanted. That single fact is why cooldown manipulators sit above raw damage in every band above.
Wishlist the TBA product build on the wishlist tracker. Official posts and store links sit on the links hub. Date context sits on the demo launch recap, Steam Next Fest notes, and the development timeline.
Unlimited Meteor will keep tempting people into a first-action press because the name sounds like a trailer. On this speculative list it stays a payoff after Breaks, after Counter Heal has kept the pool alive, and after comets have actually opened the target — never as the skill you click to find out whether the fight was already won.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for demo runs, ReAct combat, and party building.
Should I open fights with Unlimited Meteor?
No. It costs 2 MN, sits on CD12, and spends ready skills / sets all cooldowns. Use it as a payoff after Breaks. Timing is covered in the combat guide.
Why do Break tools outrank raw damage here?
ReAct extra turns, cheaper skills, better recovery, and crits on broken targets make setup the real currency. Raw damage without a Break is a worse spend of shared Mana. See the tier list hub.
Is Counter Heal just a weaker Heal All?
No. Counter Heal is a 2 MN, CD6 tempo heal for 50% Heal.ELM on all allies. Heal All is the dedicated top-up when you are already behind. Press them for different tempos.
Where is Kannagi's skill list?
Not on this page. Only published names are ranked. Kannagi is a fox shrine maiden with a purification wooden sword; Aries Knight's kit is not fully public. Role notes are on the character ranking.
Is Mercy Scythe a demo staple?
Mercy Scythe is Harvester's execute. Harvester may be post-demo. This ranking keeps the skill in a later/execute band so it is not treated as a first-area opener. Confirm the demo four in the demo guide.
