Apothecary Character

Role in the demo four

Apothecary is the documented healer of Dungeon Picnic’s first-area party. A skill-offer screenshot stamps APOTHECARY in huge type beside NEW STARLET, NEW SKILL and a Choose ONE / SELECT SKILL header. She wears a pink nurse cap with a heart, long white hair in twin tails, a blue sailor-cut top, a pink bow, a white apron with heart-shaped pockets, dark gloves, and white socks. The look is nurse-maid, not a cloaked priest. She is one of the four characters in the limited demo distributed on 6 September 2026, with Astrologia, Kannagi, and Aries Knight. The full game remains TBA. The mode is single-player.

The Level Up list puts her at Lv 1 / Cost: 1, same as the other demo heroines. An event HUD that includes her portrait shows about 25 HP at Lv 1, sitting between Kannagi at 20 and Astrologia at 23. A neighboring portrait at 30 is the remaining demo-four slot on that file. Those figures are screenshot facts, not a full Status card. Unlike Harvester, Apothecary does not currently have a public Status sheet with ATK, DEF, and SPD printed; this page will not invent those numbers.

She exists to keep a low-HP party alive while everyone drinks from one MN pool. That job only makes sense if you also read ReAct combat and party building. The early character ranking should score her as a 2MN healer competing with 2MN damage, not as a free backup plan.

Documented skills

The Select Skill screenshot lists three rows. This wiki stops at those names.

  • Counter Heal — 2MN. The detail line on the same screen reads Cooldown 6, All Allies, Heal.ELM, Heal 50%. An up-arrow icon sits on the row. The selected details belong to this line in the capture; do not copy that tooltip onto the other two skills.
  • Heal All — 2MN. Plus-shaped icon. The screenshot does not print a second tooltip for this row, so this page does not invent a percentage or a cooldown for it. The name is the evidence: an all-ally heal that costs the same 2MN as Counter Heal.
  • Poison Injection — 1MN. Down-arrow icon. No extra clause is readable on that offer screen. The name is the only public effect hint. Do not turn it into a made-up DoT table.

NEW STARLET, NEW SKILL is UI chrome on the offer, not a fourth skill name. Face buttons on that screen include Get and Toggle Details. When you are in a run, Toggle Details is how you confirm whether a tooltip belongs to Counter Heal or to the highlighted neighbor.

Because MN is shared, Counter Heal at 2MN is the same stamp as Astrologia’s Unlimited Meteor. If you heal at 50% for all allies while a Break is one weakness hit away, you may have spent the pool that would have paid for cheaper skills after the Break. If you refuse to heal while portraits sit in the 20s, a wipe deletes skills and gear and you are back at Set Skill.

Heal.ELM, cooldowns, and ReAct

Heal.ELM on Counter Heal is a printed tag. This page does not invent a matching damage element or a hidden reaction beyond what the combat guide already states: Break a weakness for an extra turn, enemies can ReAct too, and broken targets yield more mana recovery, cheaper skills, and higher crit. A healer who only presses Heal All after the party is already broken is late. A healer who dumps 2MN before anyone has tried a weakness is also late, just in the other direction.

Cooldown 6 on Counter Heal is long next to Astrologia’s 1MN comets. You will not rotate it every command. Hold it for the turn when several portraits drop together — the All Allies clause is the reason the skill exists — then live on 1MN Poison Injection or on other characters’ cheaper rows while CD 6 ticks. The Break-cooldown passive advertised for Astrologia does not automatically belong to Apothecary; do not copy passives across pages.

Kannagi and Aries Knight do not have transcribed heal rows here. Until they do, Apothecary is the demo four’s published recovery plan. Harvester can spend ally HP, which is the opposite budget. Samurai shows Healing POW 6 on an equipment card, which is a stat line, not a heal skill.

Offer screens versus the rest of the menu

Set Skill is how new rows arrive. Item, Status, Formation, and System sit beside it. Equipment can wait until you know whether you even have MN left after heals. Level Up at Cost 1 on Apothecary competes with Cost 1 ranks on the other three demo heroines and with Starting Mana at Cost 3. Star Shards (HUD StarShard) and Aether are the currencies on exploration HUDs; a first-area event screenshot can show both at 0.

Exploration nodes are bets. An offer that shows Poison Injection at 1MN is cheaper than another 2MN heal. Taking a second 2MN heal because the portrait is cute is how shared mana dies. Use exploration when you are choosing Battle + Rewards nodes, and controls when you need the menu order.

On a wipe, the cute apron does not save the build. Roguelike reset means the next run may not even offer Counter Heal on the first starlet screen. Plan around the printed costs, then rebuild.

Pairing the nurse with the rest of the roster

Astrologia wants Ready skills stacked for Unlimited Meteor, then accepts a full-list cooldown lock. Someone has to heal through that lockout. That someone is Apothecary in the photographed demo four. Kannagi is the fox-eared shrine maiden on event screens; her official wooden-sword lore does not replace a 2MN all-ally heal. Aries Knight is named on Level Up; her kit is not fully documented, so do not assume she tanks so well that Heal All becomes optional.

If a later build puts Harvester in the same four slots, you are mixing a character who spends ally HP with a character who restores it. That can work as a loop or as a way to feed Mercy Scythe while Counter Heal is on CD 6. It can also empty 23–25 HP portraits before the heal lands. Test it in the party planner instead of assuming synergy from the job titles. Samurai may be a class title and may be outside the demo four; First Star Fragment is about acting first, which can let a heal land before enemy ReAct if you ever see both in one file.

Steam notes that some characters used AI assistance in design. That disclosure does not change MN costs.

Demo window and TBA product

First-area demo, no save transfer, Steam Next Fest from 19 October 2026, product TBA. Track the window on demo launch notes and the demo guide. New players should still read Getting Started. Wishlist and store links sit on the wishlist tool and official links. Neighboring indexes: Characters Hub, Guides Hub, updates hub, tier list hub, skills ranking.

Spend Counter Heal when several portraits drop together, not as a reflex the instant one bar ticks. Poison Injection is the 1MN row you can press without stranding Unlimited Meteor. Heal All is the other 2MN stamp — same price as the meteor — so treat it as a party decision, not a personal comfort button. If the shared bar is empty, Apothecary is just a pink cap in Formation.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for demo runs, ReAct combat, and party building.

Is Apothecary in the demo?

Yes. She is one of the four first-area characters. The limited demo was distributed on 6 September 2026. Demo saves do not transfer into the TBA full game.

What skills does Apothecary have?

Public Select Skill art shows **Counter Heal** (2MN, Cooldown 6, All Allies, Heal.ELM, Heal 50%), **Heal All** (2MN), and **Poison Injection** (1MN). This page does not invent extra names.

Why does her heal cost 2MN matter?

MN is shared. Counter Heal and Heal All cost the same 2MN as Astrologia's Unlimited Meteor. See party building before you dump the pool.

What does NEW STARLET, NEW SKILL mean?

It is offer-screen UI, not a skill name. You still Choose ONE row from the list. Details for Counter Heal are on the same capture.

Can she solo-heal a Harvester HP spend?

Maybe, if Harvester is even in your file. Harvester may sit beyond the demo four. Counter Heal is on Cooldown 6, so it will not catch every ally-HP payment. Read ReAct combat for timing around Breaks.
