Who this hub covers

Dungeon Picnic is a single-player party-building roguelike RPG from solo developer Lapismine (Steam app 3736800). You pick four pixel-art heroines, spend one shared mana pool labeled MN, and try to Break weaknesses for extra turns. The full game is still TBA. This page is the roster map: every named character this wiki currently files, a clear split between the demo four and later public reveals, and a warning that numbers and kits can move before release.

Steam’s store disclosure notes that some characters were designed with AI assistance. That is a production credit, not a reason to skip a page or invent a kit. If a skill name is not on an official post or a readable screenshot, this hub and the child pages refuse to invent one.

Start here, then open the individual articles. Pair the roster with ReAct combat, party building, and the early character ranking so you are not ranking a reveal as if it were a first-area unlock.

The demo four

The limited demo, distributed on 6 September 2026, covers the first area with four characters. Demo saves do not carry into the product version. Steam Next Fest is lined up from 19 October 2026. A Level Up screenshot lists four heroines at Lv 1 / Cost: 1 plus a separate Starting Mana row at Cost 3:

  • Astrologia — astrologer who borrows star power; purple hat and star staff.
  • Apothecary — nurse-maid support with heart pockets on the apron.
  • Kannagi — mystical-clan shrine maiden with a purifying wooden sword.
  • Aries Knight — maid-knight look named on the same Level Up list.

The same panel shows SHARD 03 in the corner. Star Shards (HUD label StarShard) are the spend for those ranks. Aether sits next to StarShard on exploration HUDs. Neither currency is a fifth party member.

If you are installing the first-area build, read the demo guide and Getting Started before you burn shards on a hunch. Controls covers the menu strip: Level Up, Equipment, Set Skill, Item, Status, Formation, and System.

Later reveals, not automatic demo unlocks

Public posts and development screenshots also name two more combatants:

  • Harvester — official self-proclaimed grim reaper girl. She harvests HP from enemies, can spend ally HP for strong skills, and uses Mercy Scythe (慈悲の鎌) to execute low remaining HP. A Status screen at Lv 1 lists HP 30. She may sit beyond the four-character demo roster; treat her as a reveal until you see her on your own first-area file.
  • Samurai — the title on a Set Equipment screenshot. Sailor uniform, dark blue hair, katana. Samurai may be a class title rather than a personal name, so this wiki does not invent one. The same screen shows the Legendary artifact First Star Fragment (SPD +25%, wearer can act first when battle begins).

Do not copy the demo-four assumption onto those two pages. Exploration events and Set Skill offers can show a NEW STARLET, NEW SKILL layout without promising that every starlet is in the September first-area build.

Shared mana, ReAct, Break, and wipes

There is no per-heroine MP bar. Hellfire Comet at 1MN and Heal All at 2MN pull from the same pool. That is why party building is a budget problem, not a costume contest.

ReAct combat is the extra-turn rule: Break a weakness and your side acts again. Enemies can do the same to you. While a foe is broken you get more mana recovery, cheaper skills, and a higher critical chance. Cooldowns still tick beside MN cost; Astrologia’s Unlimited Meteor is the loud example, with Cooldown 12 and a clause that sets all skills on cooldown.

A wipe throws away the skills and gear you assembled. The next run rolls a new mix. Status lines you will compare across pages use HP, ATK, DEF, HEAL or Healing POW, SPD, Hit Rate, Critical Rate, and Critical DMG. Screenshot parties at Lv 1 sit in the low 20s for several portraits (Astrologia at about 23 HP), while Harvester’s Status card shows 30 HP and Samurai’s equipment card shows 22 HP.

How to use the child pages

Each article cites a screenshot, an official blurb, or both. Astrologia and Apothecary currently have the most complete public skill rows. Kannagi has a strong official identity (clan, wooden sword, purification) but not a transcribed skill menu here. Aries Knight is confirmed in the demo four by the Level Up list; her kit is not fully documented from public screenshots. Harvester has official combat identity plus a full Lv 1 Status card. Samurai has equipment and stats, not a named skill list.

Use the skills ranking when you are comparing MN costs, and the party planner when you are testing four-slot ideas. The tier list hub is an index, not a substitute for the character pages.

Kits can still change

Lapismine is a solo indie. Demo-era values — Cost 1 heroine ranks, CD 12 on Unlimited Meteor, Counter Heal at Heal 50% — are snapshots. The product version is TBA, so do not treat a September screenshot as a frozen patch. Track dates on demo launch notes and the updates hub. Wishlist and store reminders live on the wishlist tool and the official links hub.

The Guides Hub is the other half of this map: combat, exploration, controls, and the first-area loop. Come back to Characters when a new portrait shows up on Formation or Set Skill.

This hub is a roster index for a TBA release, not a locked tier. Open Astrologia when you need meteor math and Ready-skill counts. Open Apothecary when 2MN heals are competing with 2MN nukes. Open Kannagi when the event portrait is the fox-eared shrine maiden with the wooden sword on her shoulder. Open Aries Knight when the Level Up list is the only hard proof you have. File Harvester and Samurai in a revealed-but-maybe-not-demo folder until your own first-area run shows them.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for demo runs, ReAct combat, and party building.

Which characters are in the Dungeon Picnic demo?

The limited first-area demo uses four characters: Astrologia, Apothecary, Kannagi, and Aries Knight. Harvester and Samurai appear in public materials and may sit outside that four-person roster.

Does the full game have a release date?

No. The full game remains TBA on Steam. The limited demo was distributed on 6 September 2026, and Steam Next Fest is lined up from 19 October 2026. Demo saves do not transfer. Follow demo launch notes.

Is Dungeon Picnic multiplayer?

No. Steam lists it as single-player. You build a party of four inside one run. There is no second player to fill a slot for you.

What stats and currencies should I compare across pages?

Status lines use HP, ATK, DEF, HEAL or Healing POW, SPD, Hit Rate, Critical Rate, and Critical DMG. The event HUD shows StarShard and Aether. Skills spend shared MN. See ReAct combat for Break rules.

Will these kits stay the same until release?

Not guaranteed. Lapismine is still developing a TBA product. Use this hub plus the early character ranking as a snapshot, then re-check screenshots after patches.
