Dungeon Picnic Early Tier Lists
Demo-based speculation only. The full game is still to be announced.
Dungeon Picnic is a single-player party-building roguelike RPG from Lapismine, Steam app 3736800. The full game is still to be announced. Everything on this hub is an early, demo-based ranking, not a final competitive list. The limited-time demo started on 6 September 2026. It covers the first area and four characters. Demo saves do not transfer into the product version because some specs differ.
If a page on the internet treats these names as a locked S-to-C ladder for 1.0, it is overstating the evidence. Use the lists as a reading order for Break, shared Mana, and cooldowns, then throw the labels out when unpublished kits appear.
What this hub ranks
Two child pages sit under this overview:
- Early character ranking — the demo four, plus two heroines shown in development posts.
- Early skill ranking — published skills only. Break tools and cooldown manipulators sit above raw damage.
Read both with the ReAct combat guide and the limited demo notes. Identities and portraits live on the character roster. Wishlist and store reminders live on the wishlist tracker. Official Steam, X, Ci-en, and YouTube URLs sit on the links hub.
Ranking rules (provisional)
Shared Mana (MN) is a party pool. There is no per-character MP. Breaking a weakness triggers ReAct: an extra turn, cheaper skills, and better recovery. Enemies ReAct when they break you. Hits on a broken target raise critical chance. Skills use cooldowns. Unlimited Meteor spends ready skills and sets cooldowns; it is a payoff, not an opener.
Those rules decide the order more than a screenshot of a large number:
- Characters who create Breaks or refund cooldowns on Break outrank characters who only spend the extra turn.
- A dedicated healer/poison hybrid is valuable because four selfish spenders starve the shared pool.
- Incomplete kits stay in the middle. Missing data is not a hidden S-tier.
- Heroines shown outside the demo four are ranked in a separate band so nobody treats them as first-area starters.
Star Shard level-ups and Aether as a currency still reshape a run after the first fights. Mapless events let you bet resources instead of walking a floor. A ranking that ignores those systems is a first-battle sample, not a full-run sample.
Demo four versus shown later
Playable in the limited demo: Astrologia, Apothecary, Kannagi, and Aries Knight.
Publicly shown in development posts, not treated as demo-confirmed here: Harvester and Samurai.
The character ranking explains why Astrologia is the early S-tier enabler, why Apothecary sits high on shared Mana, why Kannagi is a flexible frontliner, and why Aries Knight stays mid until her kit is public. Harvester has a high ceiling and a risky HP-spend plan. Samurai looks strong if the First Star Fragment act-first artifact is typical and if SPD 135 is a representative line.
The skill ranking only names published moves: Hellfire Comet, Blizzard Comet, Binary Star, Unlimited Meteor, Lunar Eclipse, Stellar Exploit, Counter Heal, Heal All, Poison Injection, and Mercy Scythe. Kannagi’s purification wooden sword and Aries Knight’s maid-knight identity are not an excuse to invent skill names.
What the demo cannot prove
The first area cannot prove later bosses, later random skill picks, or later artifacts. Steam Next Fest from 19 October 2026 will exhibit the demo; that is a discovery window, not a ship date. Follow the demo launch recap, the Steam Next Fest page, and the development timeline instead of assuming a full release from a blog stamp. Broader news sits on the updates hub.
Streaming the demo is allowed, including site monetization. Bug reports belong on the Steam discussion board, not in a tier screenshot. If a patch changes MN costs or Break refunds, these pages move with the patch, not with wishful thinking.
How to use a speculative list in a run
- Lock a Break plan before you lock a damage plan.
- Spend Star Shards on the character who creates extra turns, not only on the character who spends them.
- Keep Counter Heal in mind when Heal All would waste tempo.
- Do not open with Unlimited Meteor. Two MN and a CD12 that sets every cooldown is a dump after the board is already broken.
- Re-rank Aries Knight the moment her kit is actually shown.
Those five lines are a checklist, not a build code. Party size is four. Single-player only. The product version is still TBA.
This hub will not promote Harvester into the demo four because a scythe looks dramatic in a development clip. Until she is playable in the first-area build, she stays in the shown-later band, and every S label on this wiki stays stamped as early speculation.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for demo runs, ReAct combat, and party building.
Are these Dungeon Picnic tier lists final?
No. They are early, demo-based speculation. The full game is still to be announced. Treat S-tier labels as a working hypothesis until unpublished kits and later areas exist.
Which characters does the limited demo include?
Astrologia, Apothecary, Kannagi, and Aries Knight. Harvester and Samurai have been shown in development posts; they are not treated as demo-confirmed on this hub. See the character ranking and the roster.
Why is Break weighted above raw damage?
Shared Mana, ReAct extra turns, cheaper skills after Break, and crits on broken targets make setup more valuable than a single large hit. The skill ranking and the combat guide spell out the loop.
Will demo saves carry into the full game?
No. Lapismine stated that some specs differ, so demo saves do not transfer. Details are on the demo launch recap and the demo guide.
Where should I confirm official dates?
Steam app 3736800, the links hub, and the updates hub. Steam Next Fest runs from 19 October 2026 as an exhibit window, not as a full release.
