Dungeon Picnic Kannagi
Demo-four shrine maiden — mystical clan, purifying wooden sword, no invented skill names.
Role in the demo four
Kannagi is one of the four characters in Dungeon Picnic’s limited first-area demo, distributed on 6 September 2026. She stands with Astrologia, Apothecary, and Aries Knight on the Level Up list at Lv 1 / Cost: 1. The full game is still TBA. Play is single-player; the wooden sword is not a second-player input.
Lapismine’s official character post frames her in one line of identity: she belongs to a mystical clan, and she cuts down evil gods with a wooden sword that holds purification. That sentence is the kit summary until a Skill menu as complete as Astrologia’s is public. This page will not invent slash names, seal names, or fake MN costs to look finished.
An exploration screenshot used here is an EVENT node. Kannagi stands in the foreground in shrine-maiden dress: fox ears, brown hair, red eyes, white upper garment, red hakama, white socks, a yellow-white fox tail, and a plain wooden sword across her shoulder. The right-hand panel reads ENEMY ????? twice and INFO / Battle + Rewards. The step counter in the corner shows 00/10. The party strip lists four Lv 1 portraits with HP 20 / 25 / 23 / 30. Kannagi’s own portrait is the 20 HP face. StarShard 0 and Aether 0 sit under the strip.
Those HUD facts matter more than fan nicknames. 20 HP at Lv 1 is the lowest of the four bars on that event screen. Astrologia sits near 23 on both this HUD and her Skill screenshot. Apothecary matches the 25. The 30 is the remaining demo-four slot on that file, not a license to invent Kannagi stats that were never printed.
What is documented, and what is not
Documented:
- Official clan-and-purification identity, wooden sword as the weapon that slays evil gods.
- Visuals: fox ears, shrine-maiden red hakama, wooden sword on the shoulder, event-screen pose.
- Demo-four membership via Level Up Cost 1.
- Event HUD: StarShard, Aether, Battle + Rewards, 00/10, party HP including her 20.
Not documented on a public skill board in the same way as Astrologia or Apothecary:
- Named skills, MN costs, cooldowns, targeting, or a Break-related passive of her own.
If a later screenshot shows a Set Skill list for Kannagi, this article should gain those rows. Until then, ranking her as a dedicated breaker, a second healer, or a wooden-sword clone of Samurai is fan fiction. Samurai’s captured weapon is a metal katana on a sailor uniform. Kannagi’s captured weapon is wood on shrine clothes. They are not the same page.
Steam’s AI-assistance disclosure covers some character designs. It does not fill in missing tooltips.
How to play her without a fake skill list
You still have the systems that apply to every heroine. Skills spend MN from one shared bar. ReAct combat still rewards Breaks with an extra turn; enemies can ReAct too. Broken targets still grant more mana recovery, cheaper skills, and higher crit. Cooldowns still exist. A wipe still deletes assembled skills and gear.
In the demo four, the photographed damage engine is Astrologia’s comet list plus Unlimited Meteor, and the photographed recovery engine is Apothecary’s Counter Heal, Heal All, and Poison Injection. Kannagi’s job in a first-area file is whatever Set Skill actually offers her in your run. Record the real names from Toggle Details. Do not copy Hellfire Comet onto her because both characters are in the party.
Party building is the page for four-slot budgets. If Kannagi’s offered rows are expensive, they compete with 2MN heals and the 2MN meteor. If they are cheap 1MN actions, they may be the turns you take while Counter Heal sits on Cooldown 6. The early character ranking should mark her identity as confirmed and her skill board as incomplete, not invent a tier from the fox ears.
Formation, Status, Equipment, Item, Level Up, Set Skill, and System are the same menu verbs as everyone else. Status lines across the game use HP, ATK, DEF, HEAL or Healing POW, SPD, Hit Rate, Critical Rate, and Critical DMG. Kannagi’s event HUD gives HP 20 at Lv 1 and stops there. Harvester and Samurai are the characters with full printed Status/equipment cards; do not paste their ATK 10 or SPD 135 onto Kannagi.
Event screens, exploration, and the wooden sword
The Battle + Rewards node is an exploration bet. ENEMY ????? means the file is not spoiling the pack on that panel. Confirm still spends the step (00/10 on the capture). You pick the node because you want a fight plus rewards, not because Kannagi’s pose guarantees a purification proc that this wiki cannot name.
Keep the wooden sword in mind as flavor and as a visual ID when you are scanning Formation portraits. It is not a hidden extra command. Controls for Confirm, Menu, and the rest of the HUD live on controls. The demo guide and Getting Started cover the first-area loop around these event cards.
Aries Knight shares Kannagi’s problem in reverse: we have her name on Level Up and a maid-knight look from press, but not a full public skill board. Read both pages as ‘confirmed in the demo four, kit incomplete.’ Harvester has official HP-harvest combat text and may sit outside the demo. Samurai may be a class title. Kannagi is neither of those — she is named, costed, and posed on first-area UI.
Demo window and TBA product
No save transfer from the limited demo. Steam Next Fest from 19 October 2026. Product TBA. Dates and store links: demo launch notes, updates hub, wishlist tool, official links. Neighboring indexes: Characters Hub, Guides Hub, tier list hub, skills ranking, party planner.
When a Kannagi Skill menu finally shows MN, CD, and targeting, rewrite the middle of this article. Until that capture exists, the honest play guide is: she is the fox-eared shrine maiden in the demo four, she starts around 20 HP on the event HUD, her official weapon is a purifying wooden sword, and every named move you remember from a Let’s Play should be checked against Toggle Details before you add it to the skills ranking.
Walk the event portrait as a reminder, not as a movelist. If the wooden sword is on her shoulder and the panel still says Battle + Rewards, you are choosing a fight, not casting a page of invented seals. Log the real Set Skill names after the battle. That log is Kannagi’s true kit for your run, and it will beat any fan-made slash title this wiki refuses to print.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for demo runs, ReAct combat, and party building.
Is Kannagi in the Dungeon Picnic demo?
Yes. She is one of the four first-area characters on the Level Up list at Cost 1. The limited demo was distributed on 6 September 2026. The full game is TBA.
What are Kannagi's skill names?
This wiki does not list any. Official text covers her clan and purifying wooden sword. No public skill menu as complete as Astrologia's is transcribed here. Do not invent names.
What does the event screenshot show?
Fox ears, red hakama, wooden sword on her shoulder, ENEMY ?????, Battle + Rewards, StarShard 0, Aether 0, and party HP 20/25/23/30 at Lv 1. Her portrait is the 20.
How should I rank her?
Treat identity as confirmed and the skill board as incomplete on the early character ranking. Score real Set Skill offers in your run, not lore.
Does she share a kit with Samurai?
No. Samurai is a sailor-uniform katana user on an equipment screen and may be a class title. Kannagi's documented weapon is a wooden purification sword.
